The Buoniconti Fund celebrated it's 32nd Great Sports Legend Dinner presented by Tudor Group in New York City. This year the event moved from the Waldorf Astoria, which is being renovated, to the Hilton Midtown. This year honorees included tennis champ Kim Clijsters, former Miami Heat all star Alonzo Mourning, new NFL Hall of Fame inductee and Miami Dolphin's Jason Taylor, just retired Boston Red Sox David "Papi" Ortiz, former Miami Dolphin Dick Anderson, Brazilian artist Romero Britto, Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles, Philanthropist Amy and Brian France, crime fighter John Walsh, Indy winning race car drive Scott Dixon and US Women's Soccer Great Abby Wambach.
Guest enjoyed dinner by Barton G, hosted by Bob Costas and music by Grammy winning group CHICAGO performing all the hits. In the audience we saw Emilio and Gloria Estefan, Emerson Fittipaldi, Shane Battier, Andre Dawson, Helio Castroneves, Jessica Goldman, Lois Pope, Swanee Dimare, Lesli Brown, Judge Bronwyn Miller, Dr. Barth Green, Micky and Madeline Arison, Nick Arison, Dr, Eugene Sayfie, Jenna Green, Tracy Mourning, and Alina Shriver.
