We know it's for the love of art, but we also know celebrities love to be where the action is and in December every year it's Miami Art Week.
The grand dame of Miami Art Week and to see the who's who is the coveted Art Basel VIP First View on December 1st. In past years, we've seen everyone from Will Ferill, Sly Stallone, Hillary Swank, Tommy Hilfiger, Naomi Campbell, Kim Kardashian, as well as renowned artist like Bruce Weber, James Rosenquist and Julian Schnabel.
This year we've learned some fresh celeb faces attending including Barbara Streisand, who so happens to be doing two shows in South Florida, December 1st at the Bank Atlantic and the other on December 3rd at the American Airlines Arena. Major art collectors, Leo DiCaprio, Steve Martin and yes Diddy, will make repeated visits to the convention center. Also expected to visit is grunge rock singer Courtney Love, who will be in town performing Kansas City Choir Boy, along with Todd Almond for two weeks performing at the Arsht Center.
Madonna returns to her 90's stomping ground on Miami Beach, where she will be doing an exclusive concert at the Faena Forum benefitting her Malawi charity on December 2nd.
Across the street from Art Basel at the Miami Beach Convention Center, Design Miami attracts more of the designed inclined celebs like Pharell Williams, Lenny Kravitz, Elle McPherson and Brad Pitt. Their VIP opening is on November 30th.
Expect some cool parties including DuJour Magazine's Art Basel Party at the Confidante Hotel on November 30th. Celebs expected are Kris Jenner, Karolina Kurkova and Nick Cannon.
At the VIP opening of Art Miami in Midtown Miami on November 29th, expect to see Oscar winner, turned artist Adrien Brody will exhibit his paintings titled, Hooked.
In Wynwood, don't miss exhibit curated by celebrity stylist Patricia Field at the White Dot gallery and Wynwood Walls Fear Less party on November 29th, where you'll see artist Shepard Fairy, Kenny Scharf and Retna.
