The Estefan empire continues to grow in the culinary world with the first Estefan Kitchen Express opening at the Miami International Airport.
Gloria and Emilio Estefan along with government and airport officials attended the ribbon cutting ceremony in concourse D. The express concept consist of grab-and-go media noche and Cuban sandwiches, black bean hummus, of course cafecito Cubano, various Mojito flavors made with Emilio's Botran Rum, and other popular Cuban fare.
Our favorite was the Party in the Sky box which includes an array of finger foods: a cream cheese, coconut empanada, ham croquettes, mini media noche, bocadito sandwiches, and potato salad for $15.
Eventually we are told all restaurants will become Estefan Kitchen, including a new one opening in Palm court in the Miami Design District in November. SEE GALLERY
