South Florida's Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry Raises More Than $70,000


South Florida's Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry is the nation’s premier culinary benefit, featuring top chefs, wineries and mixologists. This year the event took place at the Soho Studios in Wynwood. South Florida legendary Chef and Founding Chair Allen Susser host the annual fundraiser that brings South Florida's best including Chef Timon Balloo of SUGARCANE, Former Top Chef Jeff McInnis, Eileen Andrade from Finka Table and Tap, Chef Julia Doyne from the Forge Restaurant, and Chef Sean Brasel from Meat Market.

Other participating restaurants and brands included: Pincho Factory, Shake Shack, The Cafe at Books & Books, Wynwood Kitchen and Bar, The Dutch Miami, R House Wynwood, Proof Pizza & Pasta, Fooq's, Kuro at the Seminole Hard Rock and our favorite The Salty Donut, among others.

Also enjoyed some great beers from our local breweries, Wynwood Brewery, MIA, Concrete Beach, and J Wakefield.

Notables included: Shareef Malnik, Marvin Tapia, Leslie Lowe, Norma Quintero, Daisy Olivera, Joy Wallace and CBS 4 Maribel Rodriguez.

More than $70,000 raised and 100 percent of proceeds from this Taste of the Nation event benefit Share Our Strength's mission to fight and end childhood hunger.
